For my design I plan to do some sort of collage that has to do with “stuff” you can do during quarantine. Including books, movies, workout guides, etc. Color palette will include soft tones like yellows, blues, and creams. I don’t plan to use much text but if I do I would use a simple font.

I have started gathering information for my 3 graphics. I started collecting videos for my Tik Tok. I have not started the other two yet I plan to do that today. I have all the graphics and text I want, I just have to put it all together.

For my 3 social graphics I plan to do one for Twitter, one for Instagram and one for Tik Tok. I plan to have them all on the topic of the Coronavirus but in different ways. One I plan to give simple tips to prevent it, another on the global effect and one on tips for social distancing. Color wise I plan to stay very simple because of the topics. Some shades of grays, black and maybe a pop of red. Fonts I want it to be a statement font something bold so you get the point.

After reading the advice from my classmates, there are a few things I would change about my graphic. I would for sure like to add a picture of Eli so everyone could put a face behind the information. I would also make the dates more bold so they get they effect of the timeline. I could also maybe add a picture of the New York Giants logo so people know the reasoning behind the color pallet.

For my infographic i decided to do a timeline of Eli Manning over the years. I highlighted some of his best accomplishments. For colors I used the New York Giants colors since that’s the only team he ever played for. I wanted to keep the text and graphics simple but also make sure the graphics relate to the timeline events. Example trophy graphic for when he won the Super Bowl. I think overall if you didn’t know who Eli Manning was before or much about him your could learn more from this.

For my information graphic I plan to do something on Kobe Bryant because of all the news stories on his passing. I would like to get several images from him over the years that really showcases who he was as not only an athlete but as a dad, husband and friend. The color palette I plan to use is very cool tone grey, white and maybe a little pop of purple and gold for his team colors. Nothing too bright thought cause I want it to be kind of like a memorial graphic. I’m not sure what text I want to put on it, but if I do I would make sure the font is nothing bold or in-your-face. Overall I want the graphic to represent his life and legacy.

The feedback on my GIF was overall really positive and uplifting. The one thing I would change is maybe make the text more animated and flashing. Maybe make it red, white, then blue because those are the New York Giants colors. I wish there was more pictures with usage rights that I could have used as well. If I had more time maybe I would search for more cool pictures to go along with the storyline. Maybe find a picture of Eli with his Super Bowl rings or even a picture with Peyton or maybe even his kids and wife.

For my GIF I did ESPN, specifically an article about Eli Mannings retirement. I was really stuck on where to put animation. But, I did like the idea of showing the progression of his success over the years. So,I got some of the best pictures of him over the years. Him playing in college, him getting drafted, him winning the Super Bowl and him waving goodbye at his last game. I added the #THANKYOUELI because it was trending on Twitter after his retirement announcement. I really think this GIF showcases Eli’s amazing career.

I’ll be honest and say I have not started my gif yet- life has been crazy. But, I do have my picture picked out and I just have to put the text I want on it and create it!

I would love to take a picture of Eli, preferably one from one of his Super Bowl wins, and put text in big font saying #ThankYouEli. For the animation part I want to change the text from blue to red for New York Giants colors. Maybe add a flash in there too to add some more animation.
